At Stoneyford Stockdogs, we are passionate about breeding Australian Kelpies with the temperament, instinct and natural working ability to excel in their chosen role.
Our breeding programme places particular emphasis on selecting for sound temperaments, natural working instinct, intelligence and trainability.
Our own dogs are currently worked primarily on sheep, with capable cattle-working dogs featuring throughout their parentage and grandparents. Our main breeding bitch is an excellent paddock dog, with a natural feel for stock and an instinctive understanding of how to move and manage livestock.
We believe a good Kelpie should have the ability and desire to work, alongside the temperament to make a reliable and enjoyable companion. Our aim is to produce capable, versatile dogs with the natural qualities that make the Australian Kelpie such a remarkable breed.
