Membership is at the heart of the British Association of True Working Kelpies (BATWK). By becoming a member, you are helping to preserve, promote and protect the Australian Working Kelpie throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Our members include farmers, handlers, breeders and enthusiasts who all share a common goal – maintaining the Working Kelpie as a genuine stock working dog for future generations.
Membership Changes Coming in 2026
BATWK is currently reviewing and developing a new membership structure, which we hope to introduce during 2026.
As our Association continues to grow, we want to ensure our membership offers greater value while making it easier for members to access our services online.
The new membership structure is currently being finalised by the BATWK Committee, with full details to be announced once approved.
What’s Being Planned?
Although the final structure has not yet been confirmed, we are working towards introducing a range of new member benefits, including:
- A dedicated members’ area on the BATWK website.
- Online litter and dog registrations.
- Access to the BATWK registration database.
- Online pedigree certificates.
- Breeder profiles.
- Stud dog listings.
- Member classifieds for puppies, working dogs and planned litters.
- Health record submissions.
- Online event bookings.
- Member-only resources and updates.
Our aim is to make BATWK membership more valuable, more accessible and easier to use than ever before.
